Introduction to Structural Equation Modelling
WHEN: 9th, 10th & 11th October
WHERE:  University of York - room to be confirmed

Led by Dr. Steffen Lepa, Audio Communication Group, Technische Universität Berlin, this 3-day beginners' course will convey the theoretical, mathematical and practical foundations of structural equation modelling (SEM), with a strong focus on factor analysis techniques (EFA/CFA) but also providing an outlook on other model types (e.g. path analysis). In practical sessions, drawing on provided example datasets or, alternatively, their own datasets, students will learn how to specify and fit their own SEMs by employing free GUI-based statistical software (JASP, Onyx) and the R environment (lavaan).

Programming skills are neither necessary nor taught, but participants are required to have fundamental knowledge about multiple regression analysis, significance testing and descriptive statistics.

If you wish to attend, you will need to bring your own laptop (Windows, Mac OS or Linux) and have administrative rights to install software on your machine.
