UNC How to Learn to Code Registration Form 2024 - Beginner R or Python
Thanks for your intent to register for UNC's How to Learn to Code 2024! Please see below for a few important notes:

- Registration is first come, first served. If you attended one of our information sessions you will receive priority for registration.

- Following registration, participants will be contacted regarding class schedules and placement in a class according to the best possible match for their language. We have a specific number of spots available for R classes and for Python classes.

Participants MUST be able to commit to attending at least 7 out of the 8 class meetings to register for the program. If this is not feasible for you this summer, please plan on joining this program next summer. Classes will be held in-person.

- The program will run for 4 weeks in July (starting July 5th-August 2nd) or August (July 24-August 18th) and classes will meet for 90 min twice per week. Exact times will be released for registered students.

- This program is for beginners with little to no coding background and will be taught at a very introductory level. It is NOT intended for students who already have some coding experience and are hoping to learn a new language, or specific analysis skills (if you fall into this category, you will likely find the course too foundational).

Please contact Teresa McGee (tmcgee@unc.edu) with any questions. You can also visit our website with more information and FAQ: http://howtolearntocode.web.unc.edu
