Dear parents,

you can enroll your child for Summer camps using this form.

TIP TOES Preschool Stará Boleslav will be open for four weeks during the summer (starting on
Monday 17.7.2023), and operating every weekday from 8am — 4pm.
The summer programme will be led by English native preschool teachers together with our Czech
teachers, also fluent and qualified in English, and is suitable for children aged three to eight years old.
We will offer lots of fun and exciting activities linked to weekly themes. Children will have the
opportunity to go on bike rides, go on forest adventures, play in the paddling pools, and use all the
wonderful preschool toys/resources. You are welcome to bring your child´s bike (push bike) +helmet.

The cost per week is 5 400Kč. This price includes all activities, meals, and drinks (two snacks and
lunch).

If you are interested, please register your child and tender payment by 15.5.2023 — the
number of places is limited!

Week 1: 17. - 21. 7. 2023 -

An American Adventure

We will be travelling back in time to learn about the American Wild West. The children will find out about cowboys and how they lived. They will cook on open fires, lasso cows, search for gold in a stream and do some shooting. There will be a special trip to a nearby stables, where the children will go horse riding. They will also be investigating how the Native American Indians lived for hundreds of years before the cowboys arrived. The children will learn how-to put-up tepees, which will include a lesson on knots. In the forest they will be foraging for plants to make some delicious tea and cakes. The children will also learn how to use a bow and arrow and compete in an archery competition. On the Art Table they will also be making instruments, which they will use in a traditional rain dance. There will also be lessons based on modern America, where the children will look at the skyscrapers of New York, play basketball, talk about their favourite Disney characters and much more!

Week 2: 24. - 28. 7. 2023 -

1, 2, 3 BUILD!

This will most definitely be a week of thinking, solving problems and constructing. There will be lots of opportunities for the children to try and build using different construction sets. We will have some new Lego sets so children are challenged to follow specific building instructions. Each day there will be a theme which will include several challenges. These will include working in teams, where children will have to communicate and share ideas. There will also be lots of science-based problem solving. For example, making a bridge out of Duplo Lego that children can walk across, and water can flow underneath. There will be an exciting trip to Poděbrady by train to the Lego Muzeum. Outside the children will be building giant water slides using boxes, drainpipes, and ladders. Once finished they will make their own boats to float down. On The Builder’s Table the children will investigate using real tools to make things.

Week 3: 31.7 - 4. 8. 2023 -

Super Sports!

1,2,3 GO! The children will get to try lots of sports including more unusual ones such as fencing and climbing. We will discuss the importance of healthy eating and the children will make their own exotic smoothies. There will be a day focusing on athletics, which will include running and hurdle races, long and high jump competitions and the infamous steeplechase! Ball games will include tennis, golf, football, basketball, and softball. There will be a trip to the local sports centre, where the children will have lots of fun investigating their balancing skills on the gymnastic beams and using the springboards. Every day the children can go cycling in the forest. For the older children this will include exploring some easy mountain biking trails and visiting the pump track.

Week 4: 7.8 - 11.8.2023

PIRATES!

Ahoy, me hearties! Welcome all to the Tip Toes Pirate school, where you will learn how to be the perfect pirate. The children will be singing lots of songs whilst they scrub the decks and hoist the sails. They will learn the art of sword fighting, climbing rigs, using telescopes and surfing! Of course, what every pirate loves to do most of all is to find treasure. The children will learn how to use a compass and read a map. In the forest they will use their maps to find the lost treasure of Captain Black Beard who hid it there many years ago. They will also do some survival training to help them in case they get lost on a tropical island. There will also be a trip to a nearby beach where the children will get to try kayaking, build sandcastles, have a picnic, and have fun in the water with their friends. Every day the children will use the pirate ship to travel to distant lands, where they will learn about culture, food, language and much more. Voyages will include China, Italy, and the Arctic. We look forward to seeing you all at the harbour waiting for an adventure!
