The 2024 Summer Orchestral Institute Concerto Competition is open to all 2024 SOI members (including Fellowship members). The winner of the 2024 SOI Concerto Competition will perform on the 2024 SOI Final Gala Concert.
Performers for the 2024 Summer Orchestral Institute Honors Recital Series will be selected from the 2024 SOI Concerto Competition participants and 2024 SOI Fellowship members.
1) To enter the 2024 Summer Orchestra Institute Concerto Competition, send a video recording of your concerto movement by an unlisted youtube link or dropbox link. List the link on the application below.
The deadline for your completed on-line 2024 Summer Orchestral Institute Concerto Competition Application, on-line video audition link and mailed in application fee (post-marked) is May 14.
2) All 2024 SOI Concerto Competition audition videos must include piano accompaniment for your concerto movement. You may choose to make cuts in the piano accompaniment sections of your performance for your video recording submission.
3) Complete the online 2024 Summer Orchestral Institute Application below.
4) Send in the $15 Summer Orchestral Institute Concerto Competition application fee to the address below. (The $15 application fee is waived for 2024 NSOI Fellowship recipients. The application fee should be paid by check. Your check should be made out to The MTSU School of Music, with a memo note of: 2024 SOI Concerto Competition fee.
