---- Trip Details ----

Much to everyone's surprise El Presidente is turning 25 again this year! And much like his 25th birthday last year we are again heading to BeanHill Farm for a weekend of celebrations. The campsite is perfectly situated on the English side of the river Wye. It has wonderful fire pits, a couple of park benches for sitting/eating on, a wooded area for hammocks and slacklines and a nice clean toilet block.

For transport I recommend using our Discord Channel to make arrangements. If you own a car, offering spare seats to other members will make the trip cheaper and help to save the planet. If you have a driver's license but no car I recommend grouping up and renting a car for the weekend.

---- Climbing Information ----

All climbing in the area is covered by UKClimbing.com, i strongly recommend doing some research before going and pick out some potential climbs you want to do. The following crags are popular Wintours Leap, Woodcroft Quarry, Shorn Cliff, Wynd Cliff, Wyndcliff Quarry, Ban-y-gor plus lots of small crags with a couple of great routes.

Bolt Fund Details: Gary Gibson's https://www.sportclimbs.uk/ covers this area (and many others)

Suggested Guidebook(s) for the area:
  1. Wye Valley Sport - Great Western Rock (2021) - https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/books/wye_valley_sport-2314
  2. Lower Wye Valley (2007) + Wye Valley Supplement (2012) - Climbers' Club - https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/books/wye_valley-63 and https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/books/wye_valley_supplement_2012-1104
  3. West Country Climbs - Rockfax (2022) - https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/books/west_country_climbs-2582
  4. Rockfax App now covers some of the area.

We strongly recommend you bring a helmet with you for both Sport and Trad climbing in Wye Valley and be aware that rock might become loose at times.

So with epic climbing, fire-side camping and a wonderful nights sky full of stars Wye Valley is a perfect escape from the busy London life.
