Paper Roads is a grassroots, traveling social justice library that delivers books for loan to low-income, racialized, and Indigenous communities in the regions known as Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Hamilton, Guelph, and the Tri-Cities. The majority of our collection is donated by community members. We accept a wide variety of books but require donations to be in good quality and to reflect our commitment to get popular, new, or classic social justice literature to marginalized communities in Ontario.

Pick up and delivery options are available to folx in Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Attiwandaronia (Hamilton), Guelph, and the Haldimand Tract (the Tri-Cities), while folx in Tkaronto and the Peel region must drop their donations off to our founder in Burlington. If you live in Attiwandaronia (Hamilton), Guelph, and the Haldimand Tract (the Tri Cities), it is preferred that you deliver donations, either directly to families via volunteering (below) or to our founder in Burlington (and, to a lesser extent, to another volunteer in the city).

Please provide a list of the books that you want to donate. Include the title, author, date of publication (for your copy, not the original), and quality of the book. You may check out our existing collection for reference. For example: Book #1: Title: Complaint! Author: Sara Ahmed. Published in 2022 and used: in great quality. Please number each donation. Quality types are: 1) New; 2) Like New; 3) Great quality; 4) Good Quality; 5) Okay quality; 6) Poor Quality. Please number each donations. *

Provide a some days and time frames in which you would want to either deliver your donations or have them picked up. If you can leave items on your porch for pick up and delivery time doesn't matter, please note that. *
