Wednesday After School Enrichment is from 12:00-2:00 for our K-5 students.
K-2 students will participate in an educational and engaging program lead by their classroom support teacher. This will include Arts and Crafts, Board Games, themed activities, and outside games as well as guest speakers from our school and community.
Students in grades 3,4,5 will have an opportunity to choose a different activity each Wednesday which may include, Art, Soccer, Origami, Karaoke, Board Games, Science Projects and Yoga. We will also have guest speakers from our community come and speak to us.
Once you are registered you are enrolled for the entire year, and you can enroll or drop enrollment at any time during the year. You will only be un-enrolled if you contact Mrs. Lindsey Booker to let her know you no longer are interested in participating in the program. Lindsey.Brooker@sigsbee.org.
Behavior-In order to participate in the SCS Enrichment Program you must be able to maintain good behavior. Our classroom teachers and counselors are attending meetings during enrichment which means we are limited on resources for behavior issues. Students must be able to maintain good behavior during all parts of their enrichment class. We will be using a 3 strikes system; you will be notified by the enrichment teacher if your child receives a strike. After the third strike, your child will no longer be able to participate in the enrichment program.
In addition behavior in school will also affect participation in the Enrichment Program. Students must be able to maintain safe, kind, and responsible behavior every day at school. Students who are not choosing to be kind, safe, and responsible at school will need to take a break from the Enrichment Program for the remainder of the quarter after 3 warnings. Parents will be notified of behavior issues and of removal a week in advance by email from the counseling/behavior team. Students will have an opportunity to earn back the privilege of participating in enrichment, at the start of the next quarter, by demonstrating readiness with kind, safe, and responsible choices.
ASE Payment: The cost is $50.00 for all K-5 students and will be charged per quarter.
