Dear Prospective Teen Staff Members,
Huge thank you for expressing an interest in working for Girls Crushing It (GCI)! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering girls ages 8—18 through entrepreneurship.
GCI is seeking seasonal event staff to work during our pop-up shops, where our young entrepreneurs sell their products.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Setting up / breaking down supplies and decorations
- Enthusiastically welcoming our young entrepreneurs & shoppers
- Running our Scavenger Hunt game & prize wheel
- Taking photos and video of our event
TIME COMMITMENT & LOCATIONS:
- 1—2 Days per quarter
- 4-Hour and 8-Hour shifts available
- 30-minutes of Zoom training prior for each event is required
- In-person, Lamorinda
COMPENSATION:
Staff have a choice of:
- Monetary stipend of $15/hour OR credit for volunteer service hours
SIGNING UP FOR HOURS:
- Once per quarter, GCI will e-mail a Sign-up Genius form with dates, times and logistical details
- Shifts will be available on a first come, first served basis
DRESS
- GCI t-shirts, superhero capes and wristbands provided by GCI
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
- All high schoolers are eligible; we do not discriminate on any basis
- Previous work experience is not necessary
