Do you agree to the Home Use of Technology Protocol? Home Use of Technology Protocol STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: USE AND CARE OF EQUIPMENT. 1. Only Board approved software is to be loaded onto the computer by Board personnel. This ensures the proper configuration of the system. 2. The Board’s Acceptable Use of Digital Technology (Policy # 318) will apply at all times and locations. 3. Repairs may only be done by an Upper Grand District School Board repair technician. 4. Equipment will be used with the provided electrical supply cords only. 5. Equipment will be plugged directly into a wall receptacle or a CSA approved power bar. 6. Technology support including repairs and technical advice is not available in the home setting or in other locations outside of the school building. 7. Equipment is to be handled with care to avoid damage. I understand and agree to follow the above conditions regarding the use of Upper Grand District School Board technology at home. 8. This equipment will be returned to the UGDSB immediately upon request. While certain web browsing safety technology has been installed on this chromebook, I acknowledge that no software can provide 100% protection from offensive, controversial or inappropriate websites. I also acknowledge that it is my responsibility to use the equipment for education related services as directed by staff in the Upper Grand DSB. I agree to release from liability, indemnify, and hold harmless the school, district, and district personnel against all claims, damages, and costs that may result from my child's use of district technology or the failure of any technology protection measures used by the district. Further, I accept full responsibility for supervision of my child's use of his/her access account.
