By completing and submitting this registration form, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to all safety and conduct guidelines provided by OCC. You further agree to release and hold harmless OCC, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or damages that may arise from participation in the parade. By registering, you voluntarily waive any right to pursue legal action against OCC for incidents that may occur before, during, or after the event.

Youth Participation & Parent/Guardian Consent:
Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete and submit the registration form on their behalf. By submitting a registration form for a minor, the parent/guardian acknowledges and agrees to all terms listed below.

Important: Any registration received will be assumed to be submitted by an individual age 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not complete the form yourself — a parent or guardian must do so for you.

Safety and Conduct Guidelines

Safety is our top priority to ensure that everyone enjoys the parade without incident. Please adhere to the following safety guidelines and conduct rules:

Vehicle Safety: All vehicles must be in good operating condition and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Drivers must possess a valid driver's license and remain sober and alert throughout the parade.
Speed: All entries must maintain a steady, walking pace. Sudden stops and starts should be avoided to prevent accidents.
Spacing: Maintain adequate spacing between parade entries to allow for safe stopping and maneuvering.
Throwing Items: Throwing items from floats or vehicles is strictly prohibited to prevent injuries and littering. Handing out items directly to spectators is allowed, provided it does not cause disruption.
Animal Entries: All animals must be under control at all times. Participants with animals are responsible for cleaning up after their animals and must ensure they are comfortable and safe in the parade environment.
Supervision: Youth groups must have appropriate adult supervision at all times. All participants should follow the instructions of parade marshals and officials.
Respect and Conduct: Participants are expected to behave respectfully and courteously, avoiding any actions that could harm the image of the parade or safety of the attendees.

Please remember that failure to adhere to these safety guidelines may result in removal from the parade. Let's work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone!

Youth Participation & Parental Consent Guidelines

We’re proud to welcome youth groups to participate in the OCC 4th of July Parade, including those operating ATVs and similar vehicles as part of their entry.

To ensure the safety and understanding of all parties involved, please note the following:

Parental Consent Required

Any participant under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent to participate in the parade.
By allowing their child to participate, parents/legal guardians are acknowledging and accepting the terms of this guideline.

Liability Release

By permitting their child to participate in the OCC 4th of July Parade, the parent/legal guardian agrees to release the Ossipee Concerned Citizens (OCC) from any and all liability related to accidents, injuries, or incidents that may occur during the event.
This includes, but is not limited to, participation involving motorized vehicles (e.g., ATVs), floats, walking groups, or any parade-related activities.

Safety Expectations

All youth participants are expected to follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate gear, and be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the parade.
