2023-24 UA Middle School Course Intention Survey
By selecting the courses that your student intends to take in the fall, you are *not* registering for these courses. However, this survey informs leadership of your intent for both our planning and scheduling purposes and is very important to us. Only those returning families who have paid their registration deposit are being asked to complete this survey. Thank you ahead of time for your help!

Please complete this survey for each individual middle school student in your family.

Selecting a class now does not guarantee we will be able to offer it, but your responses will strongly influence which classes make the final schedule. We know that plans may change, but your feedback is invaluable to us!

Please select your plans for Social Studies at Arrow.

Geography is offered yearly.

We have generally rotated Texas History and Civics on alternating years, but 2023-24 may be different if there is enough demand for both classes.

If you have never taken social studies at Arrow before, our recommended sequence is Geography, Texas History, then Civics.

Please select your plans for English at Arrow.

All middle school English classes will have a required parent equipping (3-4 hours) in late summer.

Narnia 2 and English 8 will have a placement test for all students May 11th or 12th.

Please select your plans for Science at Arrow.

Life science is our 'Intro to UA science' and focuses on training students in how UA sciences work. General and Physical Science have weekly in-person labs and prepare students for high school level lab-sciences.

All science classes have a mandatory parent and student equipping in August.

Please select your plans for Math at Arrow.

Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 will have a placement test on May 11th or 12th.

Please select your plans for Electives at Arrow. As you consider classes, please select the classes you MOST desire for your student and avoid selecting all electives you would be willing to select for your student. We are looking to determine demand and want as many families as possible to get their highest priority classes. Selecting more electives than will fit on a schedule will not help clarify which classes have the greatest demand.

Electives are offered on Wednesday, unless otherwise indicated.

Clubs!

We would love to offer a couple of clubs for middle school students. Clubs are non-graded, occasional special interest groups. We can only offer them if we have parents step up to sponsor them. Clubs may be offered after school or on a weekend. Clubs will have various fees depending on how often they meet and what expenses each will incur.

Here are a few ideas that have been presented to Arrow leadership.

Do you have any suggestions for classes or clubs you would like to see at the Middle School level? Is there any class or club you are willing to teach or lead? Do you know anyone who would be a good fit to teach for us?

Do you have any feedback on class preferences as far as what your family considers most important?
