RMD Kidz Camp 2022
ADULT COUNSELOR/STAFF INFORMATION

The qualifications of a camp counselor or adult worker are:
Must be at least 18 years of age (unless staff or intern)
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Want to share your faith with children
Be able to pray with child to receive Christ
Be able to lead or help in leading a devotional time each day
Consent to a background check

The responsibilities of a camp counselor are:
Be responsible for campers in your cabin or group
Accompany the campers to activities and be willing to help or participate
Escort the campers to meals
Play, eat, laugh and worship with your campers.
Assist children in developing a relationship with Christ and the other campers
Your personal cell phone is for your use only and not for camper use at anytime.
Wi-Fi and Cell Service are not available in our campground- if in a case of an emergency contact the Director
Due to the sensitivity of some children’s home life we ask that no pictures be posted on any Social Media showing their faces.

After the application is received volunteers will receive a confirmation and required screening material via email. Adults serving as a counselor or staff must have a current (within the last 2 years) background check on file with RMD district through NATSB  and have a completed child abuse prevention training program certificate (within the last 2 years). These links will be sent to you via email. Each applicant must also have Pastor Recommendation Form and 2 References Forms, available to be downloaded and printed at https://rmnaz.org/rmd-camps  (Note: Pastor recommendation forms and personal reference forms are valid for 2 years if you volunteered at kids camp in the previous year you may not have to re-submit these forms this year.)
Application must be submitted no later than July 11th.
Naz Safe Training Certificate and background check and other forms MUST be complete by July 15.

There will be a Camp Workers Meeting/Training August 1, 2022 at 7pm via ZOOM.  The link for this ZOOM meeting will be included in your volunteer acceptance letter.

All Volunteers need to be at The Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp (4900 Lake Fork Rd, Red Lodge, MT 59068) by 2pm on Monday August 9th, to assist with campers that will be arriving. If you can come up early WITHOUT campers please note this in your application.

What type of camp position are you applying for *
Camp workers, especially counselors and activity directors,  must be able to walk on steep terrain and un-level ground, as wells as participate in physical activities with the campers. Can you perform the essential functions of the job for which you have applied with or without reasonable accommodation? *
