Heading into our fourth term of the training program, I am excited to be adding a few members to our team. Please note that I am accepting people at different times depending on numbers - so if you don't get to join this time - it definitely doesn't mean that you won't be accepted in the future, it may simply be that there's not enough space this time round.
The core values of our company are Love, Community and Connection. Our training sessions are specifically designed to create a space that nurtures these values. We concentrate on our dance skills, of course, but we pride ourselves in going beyond this - using our time together to connect and develop who we are as humans - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We are an inclusive company that celebrates individuality.
In Manchester, we are changing the way we train as a community - we are now going to be training ONCE per month for a full 8 hour session. You must commit to attend ideally all sessions for the first few months if possible - once you have completed 4 sessions with the company you can then officially join the community in which you get to be a part of many company exclusive events, opportunities and discounts.

Who?
The training program is aimed at professional dancers aged 16+. Most members are working professionals but we also have students in training and dancers that simply train for fun and community.
What?
The sessions are 8 hours long from 10.30am - 6.30pm. Sessions are led by Ricky Jinks with a guaranteed guest teacher each session. We do choreography, journalling / mindfulness, improvisation, technique, meditation and much more.
When?
The training is always on a Sunday. As we are training monthly, the dates will be released per month. The first 3 dates are confirmed;

DanceZone Studios, 60 Capricorn House, M12 6DA.
Cost?
The sessions are £32 per session. You pay by card or cash on the day.
Commitment/ how it works?
We communicate via a Whatsapp group. 2 weeks before each session, I will send a message that opens up spaces for the upcoming session. You then send me a private message if you'd like to book a spot for that month (your space isn't guaranteed until you send this message each month). If you book on and then cancel or don't turn up - you still have to pay for that session unless somebody from the wait list was able to replace you.
How to Apply?
1/ Send a video of you talking into the camera answering the following questions. Please be yourself - this is just an opportunity to get to know you more personally. The video of you talking must be a MAXIMUM of 2.5 mins.
-Name, anything you'd like me to know (pronouns etc), something about you
-Why do you want to do this program?
-Anything you'd like to share about your dance experience / journey
-What are you passionate about? + anything else you'd like to add
2/ Send 1 or 2 links of you dancing. This doesn't have to be professional. Ideally choreography and improvisation but no worries if not. Please let these videos be an honest representation of your current ability.
Ideally, please edit all videos together and upload as one link.
Videos will only be accepted if they are uploaded to YouTube (as a PUBLIC or UNLISTED video - NOT Private), or VIMEO (not password protected). Any other links such as wetransfer will not be accepted.
