Victorian State School Spectacular 2024 - Expression of Interest

As places are strictly limited, students will need to audition to be involved. Auditions will take place in the second week of Term 1 2024, between February 5th-9th. Students will be selected based on a number of factors including their singing audition, past record of commitment to extracurricular activities including choir and production, and work habits displayed across classes.

Please complete this expression of interest if you would like to receive further information about the VSSS at RNPS including audition information. Expressions of interest must be submitted by the end of this term - Wednesday 20th December 2023.

I understand that my child will need to be dropped off and picked up at Ringwood Station when travelling by train to Melbourne Town Hall and John Cain Arena on rehearsal days.

As well as the combined VSSS Mass Choir rehearsals listed above, students will need to attend weekly rehearsals during the school day at RNPS, and two other combined rehearsals (dates TBC - one at the end of Term 1, the other mid Term 2 ). If you are planning an extended holiday during Term 1, 2 or 3, it may not be suitable for your child to be involved this time. *

I have discussed rehearsal requirements with my child, and will support them in their attendance of all rehearsals.

Students selected to be part of the VSSS Mass Choir will be learning a significant number of songs ranging in challenge levels throughout the rehearsal period. As such, it is an expectation that students will regularly practise songs at home in addition to their school rehearsals. *
