Option 1 - From Victoria: Victoria International airport (code is YYJ)
- Taxis: Taxis cost roughly $65-75 CAD each way to/from the airport and $15-20 CAD from/to downtown. From the airport to the venue, the estimated travel time is 45 minutes.

- YYJ Airporter costs $25 CAD for adults and $15 CAD for youth (ages 5-17) and can drop you off downtown. https://yyjairportshuttle.com/

- BC Transit buses only cost $2.50 CAD and are in good condition. Buses #70, 71, 72, and 75 will take you downtown and the #76 to the University of Victoria. Please visit BC Transit’s website for schedule times. www.Bctransit.com/Victoria/schedules-and-maps.

Option 2 - From Vancouver: Vancouver International airport (code is YVR)

Victoria is on Vancouver Island, 107 kilometers (76 miles) southwest of Vancouver. The trip by car and ferry, or bus and ferry, takes approximately 4 hours each way from downtown Vancouver. Alternatively, you could take a 35-minute flight. Below are options for getting to Victoria.

BC Ferries: BC Ferries offers 90-minute sailings to Victoria’s Swartz Bay terminal from the Tsawwassen terminal, approximately 45-minutes south of downtown Vancouver. Ferries run at least every two hours (at the top of the hour), increasing to hourly during peak season. These ferries take both vehicles and walk-on passengers. Car: Allow for the car journey between Vancouver and Victoria to take approximately four hours, including the 90-minute sailing on BC Ferries (see above for more planning information). To reach the BC Ferries terminal in Tsawwassen from downtown Vancouver, drive south on Howe Street across the Granville Bridge (Hwy 99) until you reach the corner of Granville and West 49th Avenue, then turn left. Continue to the corner of West 49th and Oak Street, then turn right and cross the Oak Street Bridge. Continue south and then follow the signs for “Highway 17-Victoria Ferries Next Right” to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. Upon arriving at Vancouver Island, drive 30-minutes south from Swartz Bay to downtown Victoria.

TransLink: If taking public transit between downtown Vancouver and Victoria, allow about 4.5 hours each way, including the 90-minute BC Ferries crossing (see above for details) between the mainland and Vancouver Island. From downtown Vancouver, take the SkyTrain’s Canada Line south to Bridgeport Station, then transfer to bus #620 to get to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, then board the ferry as a walk-on passenger. From the Swartz Bay terminal on Vancouver Island, take bus #70 to downtown Victoria. Scheduled Bus: Frequent, daily year-round scheduled bus service is offered between downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria. When you purchase tickets for this service, it will include your ferry ticket as well as the motor coach transfer on each end. The bus departs from Pacific Central Station located at Main Street and Terminal Avenue in Vancouver and terminates at the Victoria Bus Station right in downtown Victoria. Travelling time, including the BC Ferries crossing, is approximately 4 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the Vancouver Visitor Centre, in person at Pacific Central Station, or by contacting the BC Ferries Connector at 604.428.9474.

Estimated cost: Costs from Vancouver to Victoria by public transport should be about $30 - $60 CAD each way.

Option 3 - From Seattle: Seattle airport (code is SEA)

NOTE: This might only be a good option for Canadian or American citizens. If you need a visa to enter the United States, and especially if you have a single-entry visa, this will probably not be a good option for you, since you might not be allowed to re-enter the country for your flight back.

It is only 86 miles by air from downtown Seattle to downtown Victoria. It is a 20-minute flight by Horizon Air, a one-hour flight by Kenmore Air Floatplane, and at least a 3-5 hour undertaking by any other form of transportation. Generally, it takes 4-6 hours to drive and take a ferry, depending on border wait times and driving distances. The fastest way after flying is the Victoria Clipper high-speed catamaran. It is passenger only. If you are driving, your choices include: BC Ferries from Tsawwassen (SW of Vancouver) to Swartz Bay (~30 min, North of Victoria), and the MV Coho (Black Ball Ferry Line) from Port Angeles, WA (2.5-3 hr NW of Seattle) to downtown Victoria. Ferry: The most direct way to get from Seattle to Victoria is by Victoria Clipper, a 3-hour crossing from downtown Seattle to downtown Victoria. This is a passenger-only ferry. Estimated one-way cost is $130 USD.

Ferry via Port Angeles: (2.5-3 hours drive from Seattle): For those who want to travel by car, the MV Coho (Black Ball Ferry Line) departs from Port Angeles for a 90-minute crossing to downtown Victoria. This option offers daily service up to 4 sailings a day (each way in Summer) to Victoria's Inner Harbour.

Seaplane: For the truly adventurous there also is Kenmore Air , with many daily flights between Lake Union and Victoria's Inner Harbour, though it's pricier than any of the other options, it can be a good option for those who have limited time or want to spend less time in transit (approximately 45-minute flight). Note, however, that Kenmore Air has a luggage restriction of 25 lb per passenger. Please contact Kenmore Air for pricing.

Car: Most of the other options for getting to Victoria will involve considerable driving. The most frequent (and largest) boat is on BC Ferries, which leaves from Tsawwassen which is across the Canadian border, so you will need a passport and possibly a visa.
