Springtime Haiku Contest

Enter your poem between Monday, April 10 and Monday, May 1. Entries can be submitted on paper, by email to bhpl@boontonholmeslibrary.org or via this form..  

Eligibility: The Springtime Haiku Contest is open to Boonton library cardholders, Town of Boonton residents. and students enrolled in Boonton schools. 

Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry often inspired by nature. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and  last lines of a haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme. 

Participants may enter more than one haiku.
