Thank you for completing this application for our Advanced Leadership Training in New Orleans, Louisiana!
This high-level program is for some of our most engaged alumni, and its purpose is to further develop your leadership skills through building on your previous experience with FFI programs.
The theme of this program will be the exploration of plant-based eating and the intersection between environmentalism and social justice. We will utilize the rich cultural tapestry and culinary landscape provided by the community of New Orleans to delve into issues such as food inequality, local agriculture, climate resilience, and cultural preservation through food.
You will explore these themes through engaging with local community members, using what you learn to practice facilitating workshops, and collaborating with your fellow alumni to contribute to the Global Alumni Movement. A public speaking component will be included.
Please understand that not everyone that applies will be selected. We will look at each application and there are factors that will be analyzed for the selection, including age, engagement with FFI, attendance at meetings, and so forth. There will be more training opportunities to come and those that complete these applications will be looked at first for future events. The most important thing to remember is not to be discouraged as you complete this application as the NOLA experience is meant to fill some of the gaps in your leadership development that you may outline below.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by March 15th, 2024 in order to participate in this program.
