Become a certified coach while your athletes develop their on-snow skills. Special Olympics Maine is offering 2 Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing training day for coaches and their athletes:

       *  (New Date) Thursday January 27th, 2022 from 9am-2pm at Quarry Road Trails in Waterville
       *  Friday January 28th, 2022 from 9am-2pm at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester

We are encouraging all coaches to bring 1 athlete (max - 3 athletes per coach) with them to the training.  Coaches that attend will go through our sport certification course and athletes will have the opportunity to be on-snow developing their skills.  All participants (coaches & athletes) should be prepared to be active during on-snow sessions.  Each sport will have on-snow active sessions that will last 1-2 hours long so all participants should come prepared to be outside (in cold elements) with proper winter apparel (ski pants, jacket, hat, gloves, eye protection etc).  It is recommended to bring your own snowshoe and/or cross country ski equipment however additional equipment or rental equipment will be available for those that do not have their own at their own cost.
