The Getting to 1 Coalition is working to reduce infant deaths in Lucas County. This is a space where community partners and community members come together to discuss the promotion of resources available, work that is going on in the community setting and idea generation on how to bring awareness to this issue in Lucas County.
Meetings are Virtual, Quarterly the 3rd or 4th Monday of the month, from 10:30am-12pm
The Racism in Health Care subcommittee of Getting to 1 is a space where community partners and community members come together to discuss ways to address racism in local health care systems. Racism in healthcare is a contributor to poor birth outcomes and is a systemic issue. This group partakes in policy review, policy development, idea generation and how to be an advocate.
Meetings are Virtual, bi-monthly the 1st Tuesday of the month, from 10-11am
The Environmental Pollutants subcommittee of Getting to 1 is a space where community partners and community members come together to discuss the negative health effects of environmental pollutants on reproductive health and birth outcomes. This committee is in the early stages of development and is working on establishing partnerships with local experts.
Meetings are Virtual, bi-monthly the 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 10-11am
