The Piedmont Parents Network, in collaboration with Piedmont Middle School and the PUSD Wellness Center will present the award-winning documentary, Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age. The documentary follows physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. The 70-minute film will be followed by a discussion. Parents and kids (11 years and older) are encouraged to attend. Seating is limited. Please RSVP here. Screening will take place on Thursday, October 20, 7:00-9:00PM, in the Piedmont Middle School Multi-Purpose Room.
