As we are preparing the Tandem 10 - Having a Voice Workshop in Portugal, we would like to ask for your cooperation providing some key information, so we can deal with the necessary logistics, namely:
A → Expected arrival and departure times - crucial for us to be able to book with the Municipality, asap, the required transfers in suitable schedules (Alcobaça is otherwise not so easily reachable)
B → No. persons joining optional dinners - an estimate is fundamental for us to negotiate prices with the Restaurants.
C → Confirmation of interest to attend the complementary programme's activities - your intention to participate will allow us to make sure to secure vacancies!

A • TRAVEL DETAILS
✪ We recommend that you arrive to Lisbon on Monday, May 9th in the afternoon or evening and leave on Friday, May 13th in the afternoon or evening as well (or later, of course, should you wish to spend some pre-summer holidays in Portugal!).
✪ We kindly remind you, in case you wish (or need, due to flight schedules) to extend your stay, that you keep proof of flight rates within the dates required to attend the activity (print screen of the air company).

HOW TO GET TO ALCOBAÇA?

OUR TRANSFER > MUNICIPALITY BUS
The Municipality of Alcobaça will arrange the transfers from the Lisbon airport to Alcobaça, in the following schedules:
→ May 9th | arrivals - Lisboa to Alcobaça - one transfer departing at 22h30
→ May 13th | departure - Alcobaça to Lisbon - one transfer departing at 8h

B) TAXI
You can pick up a taxi at Lisbon's airport and travel directly to Alcobaça, but this will be a rather costly option, and an expense that cannot be allocated to the project (should you be working based on reimbursement of actual costs, otherwise it can be taken as part of your perdiem flat rate, which certainly does not cover it entirely).

B • JOINT DINNERS
Meals' functioning (menus and prices), both for lunches and joint dinners, will be updated around 3 weeks before your arrival. This information merely intends to levy required data for us to negotiate conditions with the service suppliers.

Menu costs 13,50€ per person, including: bread, olives, butter or cheese, soup, main, dessert, coffee. All drinks should be paid separately. Please chose your main from the options below. Note that you only need to keep VAT invoices for meals if you are reimbursed based on actual costs. Should you be receiving a perdiem flat rate, all you need is to fill in & sign the perdiem declaration (see model here: https://bit.ly/3jCZl7i), and keep proof of the bank transfer from the organization to your account, as well as proof of registering the cost into the organization's accounting system (bank statement).

Information required: legal name + VAT number (including country ISO) + address.                                                                      Please note that most service suppliers in Portugal may not be able to introduce your organization/institution VAT number in their authomatic invoicing systems, unless you hold a valid VIES number. You may check your status here: https://bit.ly/3EngDxi. In any case, a simple receipt will be delivered, which should be sufficient as a supporting document for purposes of reporting to the EACEA. Note: this information is only requested of foreign partners. Artemrede's Municipalities will be able to ask for individual invoices directly to restaurants/service suppliers.
C • COMPLEMENTARY PROGRAMME
C.1. Would you like to visit the Monastery of Alcobaça? *
We would like to offer a guided tour to the beautiful Monastery of Alcobaça (UNESCO World Heritage) [see gallery of pictures here: https://bit.ly/3Co0oA1]. It will be held on Wednesday, May 11th, from 9am to 11am approx. Dance performance for all audiences by (beautiful!) Marta Cerqueira, called "Sublinhar". The performance will be held in Leiria, a town located 30min by car from Alcobaça. We can take up to 8 persons in our cars, and then drop you off in Lisbon at around lunchtime (1pm). Day/schedule: Friday, May 13 at 10am (duration: 1h). 【 Note on Covid testing 】
Should you need to get tested for Covid in order to return home, please let us know in advance - no later than April 25th - of the day when you shall have the test done (RAT or PCR), so we can book your place in a local lab (again, we should expect higher than usual demand, because of the religious festivity that week).
