On Saturday, November 2nd, UVA’s Computer and Network Security club will be hosting our 5th annual MetaCTF cybersecurity capture-the-flag competition (CTF). A CTF is a gamified cybersecurity competition in which participants work in teams to solve a series of challenges covering topics such as reconnaissance, web exploitation, cryptography, forensics, and reverse engineering. Unlike other similar contests, we also integrate business, policy, and law challenges into the competition in an attempt to simulate a real world environment and give students a more complete view of the entire cybersecurity field.
