INUDECO 2021 TO TAKE PLACE IN SLAVUTYCH ON APRIL 27-29, 2021
Dear colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to inform you of the dates of the 6th International Conference on Nuclear Decommissioning and Environmental Recovery INUDECO 2021 to be held in the city of Slavutych, Kyiv Region (Ukraine).
We invite you to participate in the 6th annual INUDECO 2021 conference on April 27-29, 2021 as part of the events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Chornobyl Disaster.
Due to the situation connected with the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will be held both offline and online, and you are to choose the format and decide on which one is best and safe for your health.
The 4th Hackathon “The City of New Ideas” is to be held in Slavutych offline. All the other conference sessions will be taking place offline/online within three days according to the conference agenda which will be sent to registered participants no later than April 23, 2021.
The annual INUDECO conference has been held in Slavutych (Ukraine) since 2016 as part of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Chornobyl accident. Over this time, more than 500 academics and practitioners from Denmark, Belarus, Germany, Poland, the Russian Federation, Spain, Norway, the United States of America, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, and Japan took part in the conference which is held and organized in the youngest Ukrainian city of Slavutych.
The Conference is organized by the Executive Committee of the Slavutych City Council of Vyshhorod raion, Municipal Enterprise “Regional Development Agency” of the Slavutych City Council, the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management, State Specialized Enterprise “Chornobyl NPP”, Institute for NPP Safety Problems of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, and Slavutych branch of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
In the context of man-made disasters which took place in Chornobyl (1986, Ukraine) and Fukushima (2011, Japan), and of the COVID-19 pandemic, new challenges reach a new level as well such as, in particular, reintegration of territories, social adaptation of people, and the legacy we leave behind for future generations.
Participants of the conference including representatives of public and private sectors, NGOs and research organizations will get a chance to participate in open discussions on the following topics:

All the breakout sessions of the conference will be held offline/online within three days of 27-29 April 2021, according to the agenda which will be sent to registered participants. The Steering Committee is also planning to arrange a technical tour to the Chornobyl NPP site.
Languages of the conference: Ukrainian and English. The registration fee for in-person participation in the conference makes UAH 400 per person, and holding poster sessions or presentations (advertisements) – UAH 1,500 per institution.
All logistic information, a free transfer by route Slavutych – Kyiv – Slavutych, and a cultural and tourist program is provided by the Steering Committee. Hosts of the conference do not cover accommodation and food costs of the participants. The number of Conference participants is limited.
