Queer Mindfulness
Themed Mindfulness Practice Groups are multi-week programs that explore mindfulness as it relates to specific topics in our lives. Participating in a Practice Group will also give you access to 1:1 support from the instructor, access code for an app, and additional resources and tips to support your home practice in between sessions.

This 4-week Practice Group is an affinity group for those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and want to learn mindfulness in the context of this community. We will explore mindfulness as it relates to our lived experiences as queer people, focusing especially on practices of grounding ourselves, feeling at home in the body, relating to ourselves with kindness, and developing equanimity.

We will meet 3:30-4:30pm EST on the following dates:  10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, and 12/3 (skipping Thanksgiving week). People tend to get a lot more out of mindfulness practice if they stay with a practice group like this from beginning to end, therefore attendance at all 5 sessions is required. Creating dedicated time and space in your calendar will help to build the habit of practicing mindfulness in your life on a regular basis and support you in continuing after the program ends.

We will meet at the Smith Center Mt. Auburn Room. Questions? Contact Nina at nbryce@huhs.harvard.edu.
