Fauzia Workshop - additional techniques
During the 2-3hr workshop, we will take time out of painting the subject and focus on a number of core painting techniques.

Select your first, second and third choices in order of importance (1 = most important) to cover in the workshop. The majority vote will decide the order. Depending on time, we will probably be able to cover both the first and second majority votes.

Definitions:

• Wet on Dry
Wet on dry is easy to remember because the name implies what you need to do - a wet paintbrush on dry paper.
This technique is great for adding details and is good for giving your painting sharp, clean edges. It can be used just by itself to create a painting but is usually used along with wet on wet and washes.

• Wet on Wet
The ‘wet on wet’ technique is very similar to the ‘wet on dry’ technique, except that it’s when you paint on wet paper instead of dry paper. This technique gives way to many unique looks and is used often for softer options in paintings.

• Washes
If you want your painting to have a consistent, even colour, have a colour that fades, or have seamlessly blended colours, this is the technique you’ll want to learn.
