Petition - Say NO to another HMO in Kingstanding

I need your help to stop the HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) at 23 Gainford Road. HMOs cause problems such as overcrowding, noise, litter, parking issues, crime and misery for people living close to them. They also change the character of our neighbourhood and reduce the availability of family homes.

The planning application for 23 Gainford Road proposes to convert a three-bedroom house into a six-bedroom HMO, with no information on who will live there or how it will be managed. This is hugely concerning for me, especially given the already high number of HMOs in our area.

I will be objecting to this application on the grounds of:

  • Lack of information on the future occupiers and management of the HMO
  • Over-concentration of HMOs in the area
  • Loss of a family home
  • Inadequate parking
You can submit individual objections by clicking the link herehttps://shorturl.at/yDJ29

Planning Application number: 2023/08315/PA

Closing date for comments: Friday 23rd February 2024

I am therefore asking local people to add their name to the petition below to object to this planning application for the reasons I have stated above.

Best wishes,
