Grievance Form
Nevada Graduate Student Workers (NGSW) are a group of graduate assistants (GAs) at UNLV working together to improve our work conditions. We believe that documenting abuses to GA contracts is a necessary precursor to creating change and to eventually winning a more equitable contract. In the absence of an equitable grievance process through the university administration, we believe that documenting problems and starting discussion where appropriate is a necessary step towards GAs having more say in their own working conditions. While we currently lack the power to effect official university policy, we hope to be able to offer help/advice where possible, and direct you to university resources where applicable.

Please use this form to report any grievances you have in your department, such as contract violations, insufficient teaching support, or dangerous or otherwise unsatisfactory working conditions. Feel free to use this form even if you only suspect a violation or to indicate problems and issues that, while perhaps not directly in violation of your contract, are concerning and that you feel should be addressed and/or changed.

Please note any information put into this form will be visible to members of the Grievance Committee of the NGSW. We will keep all uses of information anonymous, and all questions on this form are optional. The data we gather will be depersonalized or anonymized and then aggregated, and specific language may be used to further our mission. In the case of the latter, any identifying information will be removed unless express permission is given.
