2024 Conference Volunteer Sign-Up
Accepting volunteers through May 10, 2024, or until all positions are filled.

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at this year's conference! We are seeking individuals to assist with virtual and in-person programming. Please complete this form so that we have your contact information, availability, and preferences. We'll be in touch as soon as possible about next steps and assignments.

As a special thank you for volunteering your time, we’re offering some Volunteer Perks:
 
- Virtual, 2 hours volunteered = 100% off "Virtual Only" registration fees
- In-Person, 4 hours volunteered = 25% off "Virtual + In-Person" registration fees*
- In-Person, 8 hours volunteered = 100% off "Virtual + In-Person" registration fees*
- In-Person Off-Site Event, Tour, and Workshop volunteers get free access to those activities
- Photography Ambassadors get free "press access" to all sessions and events
- Access to the staff and volunteer lounge between shifts at the conference venue
- A free “Proud Museum Person” t-shirt that we encourage you to wear during your shift(s) 
*Discount is not valid for "Virtual + Single Day" registration fees

If you plan to volunteer, feel free to register for the conference to save your space at evening events and workshops. When you get to the payment section, select "CHECK" as your method. Once we have your volunteer hours booked, we will follow up with you regarding the final payment amount.

Most in-person positions are scheduled for 4-hour shifts.

Role Descriptions:

- Zoom Breakout Room Moderator (Virtual) - Guide conversations in Zoom breakout rooms for virtual networking events.

- Setup Crew (In-Person) - Assist with conference setup including assembling badges, prepping materials, and placing signage.

Registration Helper (In-Person) - Check in attendees, answer questions and reconcile check-off lists. The last day will include packing and cleanup. 

- Offsite Event & Workshop Greeter (In-Person) - Assist with delivering water/snacks to event locations. Meet event buses and direct attendees to appropriate locations within the event space. Check badges for event ticket identifiers as people board the bus or enter the event space. Direct attendees back to the bus at the end of the event.

General Session Greeter (In-Person) -  General Sessions include Keynote and Flash Talk Presentations, lunch events, and any other major sessions taking place in the ballroom. Greet attendees entering the space and direct people to open seats. Ensure guest speakers and award honorees take reserved seats at the front of the room. Keep the door from slamming during presentations.

- Breakout Session Monitor (In-Person) - Assist speakers with setup including troubleshooting AV issues. Hand out evaluations at the beginning of sessions, and pick up completed evaluations at the end. You will be able to attend your desired session during your volunteer time.

Photography Ambassador (In-Person) -  Document the conference experience through photos and share them with AMM for use in event highlights and future promotions.

Networking Activities (In-Person) - Encourage conference attendees to participate in networking activities
