By completing this form, you are beginning the process of preparing to have your child baptised into the Christian Faith as part of the St Aloysius Catholic Parish, Cronulla.
Please check the parish baptism schedule for upcoming Baptism Days and upcoming Welcome Days prior to completing this form. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, careful planning will be needed for baptisms large number of anticipated guests. Baptisms during Mass will be livestreamed. 1. Parents are required to attend a 1 hour preparation session with 2 or 3 other couples who are also preparing for baptism. The session is conducted at the Parish Centre by one of the parish priests or deacons.
2. Participate and attend a Welcoming Mass at the Parish, generally conducted on the 1st or 3rd Sundays of the month, at least a week prior to the baptism (as per the schedule below)
3. Attend the Baptism celebration, invite your friends and family to come and give praise to God for the good things that are happening in your child.
Every child being baptised is required to have a BAPTISMAL CANDLE and is required to be DRESSED IN A WHITE GARMENT.
CANDLES can be ordered from any location and can be as simple or as beautiful as the parents desire.
- The Benedictine Sisters at Jamberoo prepare baptism candles, although at least a months notice is needed prior to the baptism.

It is customary to make a donation to the parish on the day of the baptism. (An envelope will be provided at the baptism preparation session to help with making a donation.)
