Women in Economics Alumni Volunteer Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Women in Economics program for the 2023-2024 academic year!  We are looking for alumni to volunteer as guest speakers or panelists at the Saturday morning workshops or to mentor on of the WIE students for the coming academic year.

The hybrid workshops will be from 9 AM to 11:30 AM Central on the following dates:
  • October 14, 2023 Mentor Relationships & Goal Setting
  • December 2, 2023 Leadership Foundations
  • February 17, 2024 Leadership Journeys
  • March 23, 2024 Career and Graduate School Exploration
  • April 20, 2024 Wrap-Up
Mentors commit to a monthly meeting with their mentees from November to May. Email communication with your mentee between meetings is also encouraged. They are also invited to the five hybrid Saturday workshops but are not required to attend or participate in the common read discussions.  We will provide the book to any mentors interested in the common read. This year we will be reading Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez.
