Time: Tuesdays 8pm-10:30pm (Day of sign up 7:00 pm)
Location: Kavahana (306 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405)
Kavahana is a nonalc bar and lounge featuring specialty kava nectar drinks (that you can actually feel!) inspired by the South Pacific Islands & Hawaii.
Please arrive at 7:45pm, if you signed up to play online! Day of sign up is first come first served and begins at 7:00 pm. We require a 1-drink minimum to participate. After getting a drink from the bar, you will receive a piece of paper which you will write your name on. Your name will go in a bucket, and the order of the acts will be randomly chosen.
The benefit of signing up online through this form is that your name will be drawn from the “early bucket” which guarantees that you’ll be among the first acts of the evening. It also guarantees that you'll get to perform two songs, (no more than 10 mins.) We allow one song (no more than 5 minutes) for in person same day sign ups, to try to accommodate everyone!
There will be a PA and keyboard provided, but please bring your own guitar (or instrument of choice.)
This is a “songwriters” open mic, and we encourage originals, but also celebrate a tasteful cover! (NO backing tracks please.)
