Lease of any equine from SCS LLC is under the following terms and conditions:

1. All leases of equines are on a monthly basis and are available on-site only. Lease fee must be paid monthly. Payments made prior to the 3rd of the month may receive a $10 discount. Late payments will accrue $5/day beginning on the 5th of the month.

2. All lease holders must take at least one weekly lesson. This lesson may or may not be with the leased horse--this is up to the instructor's discretion. Lease holder lessons will be group lessons held on weekday afternoons at a rate of $35/lesson or Sundays at a rate of $50/lesson at a time determined by the instructor.

3. Lease fees are as follows:

$200/month for access to leased horse 2x per week.

$300/month for access to leased horse 3x per week.

Additional $140+ month for weekly lease lesson(s).

4. Included in the on-site lease of SCS LLC horse or pony is use of arena, trails, grooming tools, its assigned tack and turnout blanket, and access to horse or pony on assigned days only (this will vary depending on equine leased). If lease holder is unable to utilize any of their access days during the month leased no make-up days will be scheduled.

5. Lease holders are expected to clean equipment/tack used weekly at minimum. Lease holders must wear an approved helmet and proper boots when participating in ANY mounted activity.

6. If selected for an equine lease from SCS LLC, lease holder understands and agrees that access to horse or pony will NOT be permitted during times that SCS LLC staff is facilitating Equine Assisted Therapy due to HIPPA--NO exceptions!

7. Leasing a horse is like owning a horse without the variable cost and time commitment that comes along with horse ownership and caretaking. Lease fees cover the average expense of equine care and management of leased equine. Lease holder will not be expected to pay emergency bills for leased equine should an emergency arise. If leased horse becomes injured and is not rideable during month leased, SCS LLC is under no obligation to provide a replacement. Lease holder will continue to use access days to care for leased horse for month of lease. If illness or injury occurs to leased horse and long-term rehabilitation is necessary, SCS LLC may work with lease holder to find a replacement lease for future months.

8. Lease holders may enjoy the opportunity to attend various events with SCS LLC, some of which may include:

On-site clinics hosted by SCS LLC, off-site clinics attended by SCS LLC students and staff, and off-site trail rides, hunter paces, and/or horse shows at instructor's discretion and/or invitation. Such events often require additional fees to be paid for entry and these are not covered in lease fee. Any additional fees will be paid directly to event holder. SCS LLC reserves the right to charge a small travel fee for off-site events to cover fuel and trailering costs.

9. SCS LLC reserves the right to terminate any equine lease if abuse or neglect of leased equine is observed or suspected, failure of lease holder to clean up after self despite staff warnings, or non-payment of lease fee.

10. Long term leases (3-12 months) may be available for some horses. Lease fees paid in full for longer terms may receive an additional discount.
