Sewing for Beginners - Sewing As Art Therapy is a week-long class designed to help budding artists explore sewing as a creative outlet. This is a beginning level course, so no experience is required. Students will learn new skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Students will have an opportunity to create one large or several small projects over the course of the week.
Camp Goals
The goal of the camp is to provide an opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of sewing, gain valuable skills with guided practice, build a foundation for creative problem solving, practice patience in seeing a project through from start to finish, and most importantly, explore creative, non-digital artistic expression.
Supplies needed:
Water bottle, personal snacks, creative mind, a bit of patience.
Students will be provided materials for the course as needed.
