Dear Parents and Guardians of JUNIORS only:

All eleventh grade Berkeley County students in their third year of high school have the opportunity to take the ACT® OR the SAT® during the school day. The testing is being funded by the State, so there is no cost to you.

Please spend time reviewing your student’s academic history and previous PreACT or PSAT scores, along with their Individual Graduation Plan, to determine which test would best suite your student’s need. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your student’s school counselor. To assist in making this decision, your student may take a free practice test online.

We encourage you to explore both options and make a formal selection below.

ACT - I want my son/daughter to take the ACT free of charge on MARCH 10, 2020.

SAT - I want my son/daughter to take the SAT free of charge on MARCH 25, 2020.

My son’s/daughter’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) team determined, and agreed in writing, that taking either of these assessments would not be aligned with his/her program of study and he/she should not take either assessment.

Even though administration of the ACT or the SAT to my son/daughter is free, I do not want my student tested.

I request my student’s previous administration of the SAT or ACT be used as their official 11th grade accountability score.
