Thinking about Gap Years at College Decision Time
Join Katherine Stievater, Founder of Gap Year Solutions, for a virtual presentation and Q&A about how to think about Gap Years at college decision time. By April, seniors have heard from schools, and for other reasons, some may now be thinking more seriously about delaying the start of college. Some had not even considered a Gap Year until now, and are feeling a bit lost without understanding the process, and how they would create structure for a Gap Year. This session will cover specific questions we get at this time of year:
  • I graduate in June - is it too late for me to consider a Gap Year?
  • If I'm not happy with where I was admitted, can I apply again during a Gap Year?
  • How do I organize a Gap Year, especially if I'm not sure what I want to do?
  • Will there still be activities including internships and travel experiences available if I'm just starting to plan a Gap Year now?
  • If I accept an admissions offer, how do I ask my college for a Gap Year deferral?
