District is the editorially independent, student-run newspaper for the Savannah College of Art and Design and we're always looking for new ways to expand and ensure we're providing relevant content to our SCAD community.
Do you have an idea you want to share with District? An article you would love to write or even just pass along to us to bring to life?
Here's where you can share your ideas with our Editorial Staff! You don't need to have any prior journalistic experience to pitch to us, you just need your idea and what your vision for it is! Article pitches can be about an upcoming student exhibition you know, a SCAD event you think we should cover, a professor who you think should get a little spotlight or even the bigger things outside of our SCAD community. Is there a national or international event/topic you think District's audience should hear about? A column you think we could start? Keep in mind that this can even be a multimedia based idea that focuses more on the visual - photography and videography.
No idea is too small or too big! All you need is a team of dedicated editors to help you - which District has!
To join us in person, our meetings are held Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at the Student Media Center in O-House. Editor meetings are held Sundays at 5:30 p.m. also at the Student Media Center.
