The Western Gateway Project was paused, but Guilford Woods now faces imminent threats of deforestation by the proposed Adelphi Road Sector Plan. The PG County Council will vote on a plan on January 18th that would up-zone Guilford Woods and the surrounding area for development. So far, our public concerns and input have been largely ignored, therefore we need to gather significant opposition to the plan to convince the PG County Council to pause and reconsider the plan, to ensure Guilford Woods is will not be deforested.
