Decision Point 5: The Bible
When a teen misses a session of High School Faith Formation (Confirmation), the Concord Carlisle Catholic Collaborative expects that teen to view the video(s) missed and complete this simple online form.

The videos for this session are found Dynamic Catholic's website, or you may download the app (for free), which has all the videos.

Session 5 is titled "The Bible". Watching all the videos will take a little more than 40 minutes, and answering the questions may take 15 minutes. Keep in mind that the quality of your response will help Tony and his Faith Formation Leaders determine if you actually viewed the videos (which we think are quite good)!

Overview - Confirmation Preparation
Confirmation IS NOT a type of graduation. While an important point in your journey of faith, it is not an end, and may be for some, the beginning.

Decision Point is meant to inform you about life and faith, to inform your journey of faith, in particular your preparation to receive God's grace in the sacrament of Confirmation.
5.1 Unexpected Gifts and 5.2 A Map for the Journey
What is one idea from these short videos that you found most helpful?
*
Do you think of the Bible as a guidebook? If not, what is your perception of the Bible?
*
In what ways are you a tourist and in what ways are you a pilgrim?
*
How comfortable would you be if you died today and had to account for the way you have lived your life?

5.3 Introduction to the Bible
What new thing did you learn about the Bible in this section?
What's your favorite book in the Bible? Why? (if you don't have a favorite book, how about your favorite bible story, and one bible story that you know about but don't understand...)
If you could be one person in the Bible, who would you want to be? Why?
5.4 How Should I Use the Bible?
How do you feel about the challenge to read the Bible for a few minutes each day?
How do you think your life would change if you did read the Bible for a few minutes each day?
Other than reading the Bible, what other habits could help you become the-best-version-of-yourself?
5.4 The Power of Habit
Who do you know who has great habits? What are those habits?
Have you ever seen bad habits destroy a person's life and / or faith?
What will be the biggest obstacle to you establishing the habit of reading the Bible for a few minutes each day?
5.6 Decision Point
Closing Prayer
In the participant workbook, there is a version of Psalm 119 on page 134. Read this slowly and prayerfully, and then use your own words to respond to God.
