Olympic Nature Experience is offering an opportunity to learn and play outdoors after school. Because our programs are outdoors, the Clallam County Department of Health has removed our mask requirement, allowing children unrestricted play. This program is for ages 5 - 12 and cost is $125 per session with tuition assistance available. Sessions run for 8 weeks one day a week starting September 14 and begin again in the Spring.

Each week after school we will explore the forest, creek, trails and open spaces at Peninsula College. Our primary focus is to provide children time in nature to build meaningful relationships with the natural world. Research has shown that time in nature improves a child’s academic performance, emotional stability, critical thinking, creativity, self-esteem, and self-discipline. Our programs encourage this development through well-facilitated, age-appropriate activities. We will play nature games, focus on nature inspired projects, look under rocks, identify tracks in the mud, and drink warm tea with our snacks.
