Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Speedway Public Library’s Unbound: In-Home Library Service! This volunteer role includes riding along with the Outreach Librarian in the librarian's vehicle and visiting patrons in their homes. You would be expected to engage in friendly interaction with our homebound patrons during these library visits. That's all! You are also welcome to help carry materials if able, but this is not expected. You are also invited to take part in relevant programming, but again this is not an expectation. I acknowledge: Effective July 1, 2020 Criminal History Background Checks shall be required for all library employees and volunteers who are more than eighteen years of age. Additionally, beginning July 1, 2020 Criminal History Background Checks shall be required for all persons who are more than eighteen years of age and who apply for employment or volunteer work at the library. Any case of a person found to have a criminal history shall be handled on a case by case basis. *
