2020 Student International Travel Application  - Costa Rica
Thank you for your interest in traveling internationally this summer!   One of the many benefits to traveling abroad is the opportunity to discover yourself while gaining an understanding of a different culture. Please note, you must be an 8th-11th grader to apply.  The application is due on Friday, March 13th at noon.  Interviews will occur the following week and selection decisions will be made by Friday, March 27th.  

*Daily Language Class with Daily Immersion Activities
*Cultural Classes: Cooking, Dance, Music, and Art
*STEM curriculum that includes earth and ocean science with scientist and marine biologist, the technology and engineering of alternative energy, rocket science with an NASA astronaut’s and agriculture and aquaculture with Earth University.

A few things to note:
Costa Rica: 7 days/6 nights - tentative window June 22 - July 3
SEED will cover program/traveling costs, students/families must cover the $250 commitment fee/family contribution by May 30th.
Students/families must cover the passport fees, and visa fees if applicable.
SEED will work with families on case-by-case basis to offer assistance if needed.

Option 2: Most programs require you to work closely with the same group of people for several days. Describe a time you were part of a group (i.e. sports team, clubs, or summer camps). Try to predict what role you might take in your travel group. What do you need in order to be successful in a group setting for an extended period of time (i.e. do you need alone time, emotional support, words of encouragement, etc.).
