Youth Art Contest
Vet to Vet Tennessee (VTVT), Canvas Can Do Miracles (CCDM), & Monroe Area Council (MACA) for the Arts are pleased to present Operation Military Masterpiece, an art contest, a visual story that will honor America’s Veterans and the military branch they represent. Art can be used to convey a message of inspiration and creative thought.  It essentially is a look from within providing a deeper understanding of the human condition.

VTVT, CCDM, and MACA invite artists to participate in this joint venture by responding to this competitive initiative and putting brush to their work.  The contest elicits the artist to use their vision on the storied history of the American Military by presenting respectful artwork for one (or more) of the six respective branches of service. The artist is invited to produce a new Emblem for each Military Branch. Artists are asked to produce a work of art that expresses the valued traditions of or for each branch of service. A review of historical military art would offer a representative baseline for which the art may be properly inspired.

This contest is open to anyone who lives in Monroe County, Tennessee, or to any artist who is enrolled in “Canvas Can Do Miracles” Knoxville, Tennessee, and is 12 to 18 years old. Note: Youth artist cannot enroll in both Youth Art Contest.  There will be Six Categories. Six (6) Emblem Designs one (1) for each Branch of Service: Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Artist may enter all six categories. This is a family-friendly art show, any work deemed unsuitable will be rejected by the discretion of the Judges. Original 2D artworks will only be accepted (no reproductions or copies permitted).
