Essential Oil Distillation Workshop - Lavender!

Despite how wonderful they are, it is easy for essential oils to feel like a highly processed, impersonal form of medicine.  But when we participate in the process of making from start to finish, both the process and the finished product become imbued with a new sense of magic. In fact, my experiences participating in this process over the years have made me feel that essential oils can contain within them a deeply healing essence of place.
 

Join us for a magical journey with lavender – we will experience and appreciate the plant’s many gifts as we harvest the flowers and process them into essential oil using a wood-fired still.  Greg Disterhoft of Full Kettle Farm will provide the still and bring us through the process.  Participants will go home with a massage oil made with the lavender essential oil and some of the lavender hydrosol.
 

Class cost: $45- $65 (sliding scale), includes all supplies.
