One of the most beautiful things about running is how connected the simple movement makes us. At a race, total strangers share a couple miles, become friends, and hug at the finish line. On Instagram, a beginning, unsure runner sees a post from somebody who doesn't look like a typical runner, and feels validated. Through DM's, the two become training partners.
At Another Mother Runner, (AMR) we are actively looking to increase diversity in our community: Through our AMR podcast and website, we want to create more opportunities to connect with people not typically represented in our sport.
What does a diverse voice look and sound like? One that doesn't come from a white, cis-gender female perspective. That includes, but is not limited to: LGBTQIA+, Indigenous, people of color, size diversity, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities.
