We are very excited to announce the GTAs NEW Womxn's Grandmasters Team - FOLKLORE!!
(GM eligible womxn are born in or prior to 1987, 37+ years of age)
Mandate: Our goal is to bring together a group of dedicated, like-minded Grandmasters Womxn who are committed to working hard and supporting each other both on and off the field, to play tournaments in our designated division.
Practices: No weekly practices but our intention is to run 2-3 practices and/or scrimmages prior to MGM/CUCGM to get to know each other, build some chemistry and familiarize ourselves with the plays. Players who are looking for more regimented development are welcome to practice and/or play with other touring teams.
Tryouts: There will be no tryouts for the 2024 touring season.
To help us better target which tournaments we could potential field a roster for, please indicate below your interest level for playing in each. This is only an expression of interest at this point and not a firm commitment to play.
Our first objective is to field a team for this year's inaugural GM Womxn's Canadian Ultimate Championships. To this end we've identified two tournaments that we would like to prioritize:
• MGM - June 15-16, 2024 | UPI (Ottawa)
• CUCGM - June 29-30, 2024 | Saskatoon, SK
The following list of future tournaments are ones that we are considering. Please indicate which ones you might be available for and we will follow up with more details pending the interest level.
