We invite you to a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with "Steady in the Storm: Taking Care of Body and Mind", a weekend retreat program to practice mindfulness with the monks and nuns of Plum Village in the tradition of respected teacher, peace advocate and poet, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
The retreat is designed for both beginners and advanced meditation practitioners, to fully enjoy the practice of breathing and integrate it into daily activities. This is the seventh retreat conducted in the Philippines by visiting Plum Village monks and nuns, and is also a wonderful opportunity for those who have joined us in past retreats to come together, celebrate, and renew spiritual friendships and journeys.
Benefit from teachings and practices available with this opportunity: As meditation heals our physical and mental well-being, the special sense of community in this retreat also brings joy and love. It brings us the benefits of a healthy body and mind by combining sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating of vegetarian food, spiritual nourishment through Dharma talks, and total relaxation. The Plum Village experience is more than a vacation; it helps us deal with our everyday stress and worries.
