Undergrad/Postbac TA Application Spring '21
We will need many Undergraduate and Postbac TAs to assist in Psychology lecture courses this Spring, as well as some Lab TAs to provide instructional and technical support for spring seminars. Positions in lecture courses go to full-time students who have done exceptionally well (A or A+) in that course—or, in the case of courses being offered for the first time, in relevant courses. Lab TA positions go to full-time students with relevant computer skills and experience. The stipend is $2100 per term and TAs are expected to work around 10 hours per week.

Eligibility:
Columbia will not employ full-time students for more than 20 hours per week, and does not allow students to hold more than one TAship in any given term. You must be enrolled in at least 12 points during the semester you are assigned as a TA. To TA for a lecture course, you must be able to attend every class meeting, and you must be available during the final exam period. Columbia only allows CC, GS, and SPS students to serve as undergraduate TAs for our courses—we cannot appoint Barnard undergrads or any masters students as TAs.

If you are interested in, and qualified for, either kind of position, please complete the application form below and then click on the "Submit" button to send your application to Prof. Katherine Fox-Glassman and the Undergraduate Curriculum Assistant, Liz Parish.

For lecture course TAships, please also contact the professor directly, describing your qualifications and asking if a position might be available for you. While Prof. Fox-Glassman coordinates the TA assignments, the choice of undergraduate TAs is made by the instructor of each course, so please make sure they know you are interested.
