Call for Book Chapter of Interest Auto Racing:  Focus - Formula 1 (F1)
Common Ground Research Networks (www.cgnetworks.org) has awarded Laurel Walzak, Associate Professor, RTA Sport Media at The Creative School, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Managing Director, Global Experiential Sport Lab (GXSLab), and Marco Henriques Pereira, PhD, Managing Director Center for Research in Sports Administration (CRSA), University of Zurich, the honours of publishing a new book imprint called: Sport Media Vectors – Auto Racing (final name to be determined).

This is a call for scholars in our field to submit a chapter of interest for this upcoming book imprint. If you are interested in submitting a chapter, please read the initial requirements outlined below and submit to start the process.  

Note: Our responsibilities for this upcoming book include soliciting chapters from other scholars in our field, such as yourself, and helping you through the chapter proposal process.

INVITATION & INITIAL CHAPTER REQUIREMENTS:
If interested in submitting a chapter, please read the following as these will be the minimum requirements of your contribution, once we have this information, we will review your submission and get back to you with more information about the requirements and an official agreement for your review and approval by the latest Friday, May 23, 2025.

Topic of Interest - Formula 1.
Themes: Revitalizing the brand and driving audiences, and drawing on theories and methods from economics, management, and marketing.

No Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions
  • Concurrent submissions are not accepted.
  • Submitting the same chapter manuscript to more than one book concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and it is unacceptable.
  • Manuscripts must only be peer reviewed by one book at a time.
  • We do not accept submissions of previously published works.
Word Count
  • You must be in a position to submit a chapter with a minimum of 2,000 words to a maximum of 8,000 words.
Book & Chapter Promotion 
  • Actively promote this book imprint and or your chapter within the book via your select media networks, associations, professional bodies or conferences and university networks during key promotional timelines, that will be outlined within an official agreement. 
  • Promote via a local bookstore, university library, social media, advertise and not limited to these, etc.
  • Using this book in a minimum of one of your courses each year for a minimum of three years, if you are affiliated with an educational institution. 
  • Give permission to Common Ground and the Co-Editors to promote your chapter accordingly.
