The day will be orchestrated by Glenn Riseborough with the support of the HASCA team and other volunteers: parents or family members with or without experience who are willing to help out to make this day a success!

We need your support (on the day) to enable us to provide the best day possible and to suit all participants.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED & ROLES:
**Volunteers, please meet Glenn (trackside) at 9:05am to discuss your role for the day, thank you.**

Junior Parent Helpers - younger age groups will need parents escorting their children between events, as well as marshalling at events and organising the games for 6-year-olds and under.

We value your participation and hope to gain lots of support and help! (:

We hope to build community through this event and provide a fun day for home-schooling families.

Note: THIS IS NOT A DROP AND RUN EVENT - a parent or adult guardian will need to remain on site on the day, or you can elect another parent to be in charge of your children. Thank you. (We will ensure that parent helpers get a chance to be involved with their own children on the day.)

We will be offering a series of age-appropriate track and field events for boys and girls, including competition races and events, plus some fun races. However, the final programme will be based on the registrations received.

Depending on time and enrolments, we'll try to fit in a bit of introductory coaching for those who have never tried athletics before.

We want the Athletics Day to meet the needs of all athletes wanting to participate, regardless of their experience or ability. This day will be a fun experience for all! We welcome school-aged competitors from age 5 through 19, however, there will be some fun preschool races offered to those aged 3-4 years also.

Once Glenn and the team have finalised the programme for the Athletics Day, full details will be emailed to all registered families / participants.

PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES & RESULTS
All athletes will receive a participation certificate but there will be no official presentation due to time restrictions, instead, the certificates will be available from the HASCA-admin table in the clubrooms from 10am.

Under 6s will be able to collect their participation certificates before lunchtime (should they wish to leave early).

7 years plus can collect their participation certificates at the end of the day, or on completion of their last event.

Official placings and results will be collated and a document emailed to all participating families after the event.

PLEASE NOTE: Points are scored for each event and are accumulated throughout the day - overall placings are derived from this. i.e.: 1st place = 3pts, 2nd place = 2pts, 3rd place = 1pt.

Last year's results can be viewed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz0We2R0QmZFVnFsQmNLY1JwWUpFaFNfY1NjcXJ2ZEpXenlr/view
