Troop 840 Statement on Scout Behavior and Self-discipline

Background
The Patrol Leadership Council, Scoutmasters, and the Troop Committee of Troop 840 recognize the need to maintain and improve communications related to behavioral expectations and counseling.

Purpose
Scouts, world-wide, are thought of as courteous and self-disciplined. Therefore, an understanding of what is expected of the Troop 840 Scouts and the consequences associated with not meeting these expectations must be understood and acknowledged by the members of this Troop.

Expectations
• A Scout shows courtesy to others in word and deed.
• A Scout plays games fairly, by the rules.
• A Scout helps others.
• A Scout respects the property of others.
• A Scout, through his actions, does not jeopardize the safety of himself or others.
• A Scout follows the instructions of youth leaders and Adult Leaders.
• A Scout stands tall and proud for the Pledge of Allegiance.
• A Scout treats all prayer reverently, regardless of who is leading the prayer.
• A Scout wears his uniform proudly and correctly.

Consequences
Failure to follow the guidelines and self discipline can result in suspension of Troop 840 activities.
